March 29th, 2016

Hello family and friends,

We have just finished a record setting tour of our mission on assignment from church headquarters. We were asked to accompany the Church Historian, Richard Turley Jr through our portion of the Caribbean. He was originally going to be accompanied by Elder Hamulas of the Seventy, but at the last minute, he was given another assignment and we became Elder Turley's tour guide and chauffeur throughout the mission.

We began in Trinidad ten days ago and have traveled to Guyana, Suriname, Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire. While here, he interviewed the church pioneers for their stories, visited historical sights and conducted missionary/member devotionals on the Book of Mormon, the prophet Joseph Smith and the importance of keeping a record.

His presentations went right along with what our mission vision has been as to the importance of the Book of Mormon. The people we teach need to understand that the Book of Mormon was written for our time and was written to teach us all how we should live, as well as to know what we need to do to return to our Heavenly Father. We as members, also need to be constantly learning more about the Gospel and having spiritual experiences so that we too can continue to be converted in our faith in Christ.

We appreciate your support and feel of your prayers on our behalf,
Trini and Dad
